Bedroom design help, please!?!?

I want to make my room look older. Right now, it's lavender, with pink pointe' shoes on the top. My mom has already told me there will be no paint change, and I'm pretty sure no amount of begging or whining will change that. Some of my furniture is a dark yellow, a little lighter and shinier than this color, http://www.missionmodels.com/product.php?productid=16501&cat=0&page=214. The other half of furniture matches my dresser, which matches my crib from when I was a baby. My mom just hasn't bought me a new dresser. It's white the blue and red knobs on it. My bookshelf is white also. One thing I hate is all the pink in my room. When we moved in to this house, I was eight, but now I'm almost 14 and I've totally outgrown pink. My sheets are white with pink ballerinas on them and the comfortor is pin with multi-color ballerinas on it. My curtains are sheer, and light purple. Do you think this curtain/sheet set looks like a 14 year old? I wouldn't have any of the throw pillows, though. If you have any creative, orgazational tips, those would also be appreciated, considering I'm going into honors classes in 9th grade next year. thanks!
